  MXF files from EX3 to FCP7 – best workflow

  Hello guys

  I’ve got these .mxf files from sony ex3
  Trying to figure out how to manage them in fcp7
  I see there some expensive mxf/qt converter for mac but I’m looking for a cheap but correct solution

  I read of this trick but I can’t verify how professional it is and if it works:

  – import the mxf files into your fcp project in the same way you do with mov files
  – the software will obviously tell you they’re not good and bla bla bla…
  – with the Media Manager tool re-compress them in appleprores422LT into a new project

  anyone tested this workflow?
  does it work?

  any suggestions are more then welcome!!!!
