New iMac came with Lion …. FCP 7 seems to working well, however Canon’s Log & transfer utility doesn’t seem able to see my Canon EOS media files any longer. Any ideas ? Error message reads ” WARNING” 100Canon contains unsupported media or has an invalid directory structure. Please choose a folder whose directory structure matches unsupported media” thank you. BW

This has happened to me a couple of times on OS re-installs. Try trashing FCP’s preferences.

Hi Phil … thanks for the response..I trashed FCP Pref’s, but still no luck. I’m thinking it’s a Apple Lion software issue..Log & transfer word fine on my laptop with Snow Leopard. BW

Could be a Lion thing. Are you using the later cx1120 version of the plugin? Oddly when you go to the Canon downloads page the Plug-in doesn’t show up unless you select OS X without specifying which version ie 0S 10.6 or OS 10.5. I know it doesn’t work in OS 10.4, but it does say OS 10.6 or later. Does this mean OS10.6.8 or OS 10.7?

Hi Phil ….. good thought, but yes I’ve got the correct driver loaded. I will keep hunting for a solution and will post here when I figure it out. Any other thoughts … send em my way. BW

ah ha …. got it Phil. I had downloaded& updated the correct driver .. however somehow it never loaded properly on my system, So this morning after some sleep , I simply went back and reloaded the driver, and now she works. A combination of late night work and computer gremlins I guess. Now let me tell you how envious I am of you “down under” types going into summer, as we shovel snow and face bitter cold temperatures. cheers BW

Ha! Coldest wettest summer I can remember. Had to turn on the heater the past couple of nights, never had to do that in December the 43 years I’ve lived here in Sydney!

    Glad the plugin is working.
