  Problems Converting to .mp4

  Hey fellas, Client asked me to provide a video as .mp4. When I use Compressor to try to convert the .mov to .mp4 it looks terrible. Very pixelated. When I use QuickTime Conversion in FCP it looks worse *and* it won’t let me choose a 16:9 aspect ratio. I’d prefer to use Compressor, anyway, but I’m curious about the FCP issue. In any case, below are the FCP sequence settings and the Compressor settings. Anyone see what I’m doing wrong? I’ve also included the preview window…

  I don’t use Mp4 settings much but your estimated file size is tiny and your bit rate is low, can you up the bit rate? Thus giving you an overall bigger file size and thus a better quality video

  Hey, Roli! Thanks for the reply. The tiny file size was because I was just marking a very small In/Out point to test the output, but I shall muck with the bit rate. Thanks again!
