Canon 7d plugin FCP – doesnt see all the clips
I have searched and have seen the problems with the canon plugin.
ie. folder format, cutting clips short ….I haven’t see this discussed. sorry if there is a thread addressing this.
i have only used the plugin a few times and it worked great.
this time i go to transfer and walk away, when i come back its missing files that were there originally cued to transfer.
then i look though my bin in FCP and it reordered my clip with different names then the source names i left them at.
Thennnn i go to re-transfer clips and it doesn’t even see them. actually only sees half of the clips in the folder. Whats going on.
i originally L&T from my internal HD that i keep RAW folders in.
then i tried my external that i back up files on. neither works. both give me same issue.
i opened up a new FCP file and same thing.
i kept the folder format because L&T is able to see half of my files.
the files aren’t corrupted because i can view all the files in finder and they play fine in QT or i can even drop the original .mov h264 in FCP and edit…Help…
im using a canon 7d 1080p/24f footage. FCP7

Trash your FCP preferences, on the couple of times I’ve had similar problems this fixed it.
Cinematographer, Steadicam Operator, Final Cut Pro Post Production.

so i trashed the preferences and no luck.
still doesn’t want to see all of the files in the folder. -
Really need help. nobody has anything?
i have never used compressor but i guess i will have to here huh.
