    Hello,
I’m an editor at a production company and although we are mostly on macs the director is PC based and we have a lot of problems when exporting projects from final cut to a quicktime and then trying to play them on PC.
I have tried several different export and compression settings however nothing seems to work properly and therefore I’ve ended up converting the .mov file to a .m4v through quicktime player, which isn’t an ideal workflow.

Does anybody know of a export setting from Final cut that will be compatible on both PC and Mac without loosing any quality to the video?

    Thanks,
    Sarah

Update the PC to the latest version of QuickTime and they should not have compatibility issues.

The other alternative is encode to WMV. You will need a paid version of Flip4Mac.
