I can’t help but if you find a solution let me know. This is exactly the results I get following the same procedure. Got an end of financial year deadline just coming up and 2×20 minute video that need to be burnt to DVD so getting desperate for a solution at the moment.

Under the Frame Controls settings of the Compressor DVD setting, is the Resize filter set to “Best”? If not try that as scaling from 1080p down to 720×480 for DVD really needs the Best setting for the cleanest looking encode.

Tony’s way will work- I think.
If not, I would downsize the HD film in AE to a PAL/NTSC Project. And let that run through compressor. AE is doing a much better job with that than compressor.

the OP showed a picture of his dvd playing on a tv screen, and in the middle of the frame the was the word “opnion” – which i’m guessing was supposed to be “opinion”.

misspelled graphics are a very fast way to make your productions look amateur.

choke? or maybe Joke? (sorry, i couldn’t resist that one!)

When i worked in news i would drive the journalist mad by proofreading their scripts whilst they were writing them, and i was cutting the stories!

    Old habits die hard.

I am about to try this. What about the settings for rate conversion in frame controls? I notice it is set to FAST but there is an option for BEST.. and what about the deinterlace control as well? Is it only the ONE setting I should change?

lol and as for the spelling mistakes guys, good catch. It is just a rough copy anywho and it was only a 2 minute export so luckily it wasn’t any full renders or anything.
