  HDV pal to Ntsc for edit

  Hi all this is my first post although I have used and leaned a lot from CC before.
  I need some advice on a project I have been asked to do. I am capturing footage on a Sony FX7 in HDV pal and I need to send the clips to the USA for editing I am using final cut pro and am asking what the best file format to send. I think the final edit will be for the web but it may be outputed to DVD as well.

  Thank you for your reply Chris. Well I have not had conformation as to what they want exactly but Im assuming a mov file of some sort but what codec Im not sure Im just trying to get some surgestions.

  You can convert with compressor with marginal results.
  Nattress has a pug-in that I read good things about.
  Maybe include the PAL clips with the new NTSC clips as another option for the receivers.

  Thank you for your reply Chris I will look into Nattress can you tell me the best way to inport and send the raw files from the camera.

  You capture the footage off the camera via FW.
