    Hi everyone
I’m waist deep in a recapturing project from hell.

I’ve gotten quite a few error messages that read: “an unknown error occurred while trying to reconnect #### clip to the newly captured media. try recapturing the clip to resolve this problem”

every forum i’ve researched attributes this problem to multiclips. i’ve never made a multiclip. i don’t quite get what a multiclip is.

any other suggestions about what is causing this would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks

    i’m using FCP6.0.6

Post more about your setup, and project. What format is the source video? What are you using as a scratch disk, and (maybe the most important question) when was the last time you wiped your hard drive and performed a fresh install from the OS up?

Also post the format of the drives you’re using for scratch disks. Are they Mac OS extended?
