  • Export via QT Conversion to WMV exports only first 29 seconds(?)

    Hello–

I made the mistake of telling a client it would not be a problem converting his material to WMV.

I captured his tapes using DV; and figured it would be no problem to export them using the Quicktime Conversion export dialog.

I exported a short test file (8 seconds) and emailed it to a friend with a windows computer to test quality and compatibility.

The test went fine, but now I am trying to export the full files and it is only exporting the first 29 seconds. Plus the quality appears to have taken a hit. I’m gonna keep trying to adjust these settings and maybe will see if MP4 files would be ok (?)

Your advice is appreciated; thanks for reading this!

If your client has QuickTime or can install it, do h264. Free and better 🙂
