  will final cut 5.1.4 work with a Panasonic AG-HMC150

  Will final cut 5.1.4 work with a Panasonic AG-HMC150, the camera records in AVCHD format. My computer is a Mac g5. Thanks everyone.

  Directly? No. That camera only works with the LOG and TRANSFER option in FCP, so you can convert it to ProRes. FCP 5.1 doesn’t do ProRes, nor does it have LOG AND TRANSFER, it has IMPORT>P2…that was later updated to include other formats.

  If you get third party software, however, like ClipWrap2…you can use that to convert the footage to DVCPRO HD…and that works with FCP 5.1.

  Or you can upgrade your final cut depending on your machine. To upgrade is not so expensive then your good to go..
