    Hi,

Is anyone using this camera and editing in fcp 6 or express 4.0?

    Panasonic HDC-HS700

Its format is MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 (AVCHD Standard compliant)

Just need to see if it actually is compatible before a buy a few of them for college use.

    Thanks,

    Danny.

It’s compatible. FCP will use the log and transfer window to import the files as ProRes files.

    Hi
Its not straightforwardly compatible if the 1080p60 28mbps MPEG-4 mode is used – for that you need something like Clipwrap, not FCP’s L&T. Stick to 17mbps 60i AVCHD mode for compatibility.
