Can you pan audio tracks on t/l before adding content?
Posted by Steve Dann on September 25, 2010 at 2:08 pmThat’s it really, I kow how to pan individual clips or whole tracks and how to select stereo and mono for the t/l but is there a way to set pan on tracks before you start dropping clips in.
Ideally I’d like tr 1 left tr 2 &3 centre.Nick Meyers replied 15 years, 7 months ago 4 Members · 3 Replies -

September 25, 2010 at 4:49 pmYou can speed-up the process by setting the pan of your first clip, copy it (Cmd-C), select the following clips, and then Paste Attributes (Opt-V) select Audio > Pan.

September 27, 2010 at 12:03 pmyou cant assign any value or effect to individual tracks,
BUT
you can assign a specific OUTPUT to an individual track.
so if you have an i/o card with lots of audio outs you can set your timeline up so that specific tracks send to specific outputs.you do all this in the sequence settings > audio outputs panel.
if your audio card is feeding a mixer you are all set.
QuickTime Movie exports from this timeline will have separate mono audio tracks for each separate output.nick
