  Flash to After Effects

  Can be possible to import a *swf or *.fla, with all the features done in flash to after effects?
  I have a flash file that I bought for easy construction with a carousel effect that I want to display in after effect.

  Or if this can be done in after effects I would like to know how to do it, it seems that it was easy to do a slideshow then export it as a *.mov or *.avi file but I couldn’t figure out how to render it in flash. I am using CS3 products.

  Option 1:
  This is fairly simple if you have Flash CS3. You’d have to manipulate or remove the some action script, and make a timeline that plays the actual animation you want to see in AE. You can then export a .mov with transparency you can then use in after effects – alpha channel and all.

  If you can’t pull out the actionscript. You could start from scratch and make a carousel using Lee Brimelow’s “Creating 3d Carousels” tuts on gotoAndLearn.com

  Option 2:
  Make a circular mask in the top view in AE. Copy the path and paste as a motion path for all of your pictures to rotate along.

  Thanks for the advise, I will try out both options.
  I guess I wanted to be too smart to copy what it was in Flash ha?
  Too bad I couldn’t do it, so I have to start all over from scratch.
  But anyway I hope AE Adobe and Flash will be working in make this option happen, work both ways flash2AE.
