  ac3 sound disappears after 21 minutes

  I am exporting a 1:50:28 long movie from FCP6, using Compressor, to DVDSP4. The m2v exports fine, but the ac3 file just goes dead silent after 21 minutes. Tried three times, always the same spot. Tried dumping the render files and re-rendering. Same result.

  Advice?

  Did you try making the ac3 file on its own, not as it was also making the video? Try the audio as a separate encode (using the same start & end marks)

  Yes, I tried doing audio separately. (Actually was the first thing I tried.)

  I noticed the file size was 159MB, so I have to assume the data were in there somewhere. Tried re-installing DVDSP. That did nothing. Then tried re-installing Compressor and FCP. Doing a brand new render now, with my fingers crossed.

  Do an audio mix-down before export from FCP
