  Brightness and contrast effect flickers

  Hi,

  I have a big problem, I used a brightness and contrast effect in my project. And it turns out that it flickers after rendering (and also before rendering when scrolling frame by frame through the timeline). My project has to be exported within 3 hours and it has to be with more contrast. What can be the problem, do I have to start all over in an other way?

  We shot on Red. I’m working with FCP 7.

  In the bright and contrast filter i used settings: brightn. 0 and contrast 16.

  It’s a random flicker, not the whole time the same…

  I’m not near my Mac, but two ideas off the top of my head:
  1: does a shift fields filter make any difference?
  2: how about a slightly different setting for the effect (shouldn’t be necessary, but if it works…)

  Thanks for the fast answer but the Shift fields filter doesn’t work, and i tried with different settings but that doesn’t work either.

  I solved the problem by creating the contrast with the 3way color corrector and sometimes the magic bullet misfire contrast effect. This seems to work for now. I’m still re-grading the whole sequence…
