  Exported video does not match timeline

  Working on a MBP with 10.6.1 and FCP 7.0.1.

  I’m not quite sure how best to describe what is going on since I am still a little confused myself. I have a short promo video that I cut together. Starts with a 10 second text screen and fades into the video.

  Everything looks normal and as it should in the timeline.

  When I export as a Quicktime Video the first 10 seconds of text is fine, but everything after that does not match the video form the timeline. It is almost as if it is confused about in and out points…..or something like that. I can’t even find a pattern to it.

  I have tried restarting – no luck. Tried re-exporting to different file types – no luck.

  Very confused and not sure how to proceed or even how to describe the problem very well.

  Has anyone experienced this or anything like this?

  Have you tried trashing the Preferences?
