Im looking for a way to bring a face out against a bright background. The subject was shot against a window. I can bring it up some with 3 way color corrector but its not enough. The subject is in focus and had two lights but was overpowered.
Is there a spot light effect to bring the face into more light?

    thanks

You can create a vignette in both Colorista and Apple Color to do what you want. If you need the vignette to track as the subject moves, Color is the easiest. You can keyframe Colorista, but that can be painful if there’s a lot of movement. Also, in Color you can define the vignette’s shape, while Colorista only gives you a circle/oval or rectangle.

Google Lyric Shadow Highlight filter – a free plugin that does wonders in these situations.

I have a plug in called SPOTLIGHT. I believe that this was part of the original FCS package and not one that I purchased.

I suggest digging through your plugins. I use it frequently and it’s great and easy to track with.

Those plug ins are excellent. Very quick and easy.
