  Behind The Scenes Film Footage / FCP Settings

  I’ve been asked to submit some footage to a studio in h.264 1080p 23.98 NDF?

  When exporting in FCP as a Quicktime?

  Are these the right custom settings? Do they make any sense lol?

  frame size: hd 1280×1080
  pixel aspect ratio: 1440×1080
  editing timebase: 23.98
  timecode rate: 30NDF
  compressor: h.264

  Any help would be much appreciated?

  Is it possible to get any help on these export settings? I would appreciate it greatly.

  Hi James,
  You need to export:

  frame size: 1920 x 1080
  pixel aspect ratio: Square (1920×1080)
  editing timebase: 23.98
  timecode rate: 23’98 (Current)
  compressor: h.264 > Key Frame Automatic> Frame Reorder> Double Pass.
  For that size a data rate try 20.000 Kbps. you an increase it.
  If your video is 1440×1080 and you want to go 1920×1080, Compressor (With the Frame Control ON, and Resize Filter: BEST) will make a better job than FC.
