  HDV capture as DV PAL in Final Cut 6?

  Hi

  I have some HDV footage that I want to capture as DV PAL, but Final Cut doesn’t seem to want me to do it. Is this something that is possible, or do I have to capture as HDV then use media manager to convert it to DV?

  Most HDV cameras and decks have the option to downconvert the HDV signal to DV, so you can capture using the DV codec. If this is an option for you, this may be the simplest option.
