I’m exporting using qt conversion an h.264 movie, while using the custom size of 480×270. I’ve done this hundreds of times in the past. Now, for some reason, it’s crashing fcp while giving me the error message that problem could be my h.264 scalar plugin. I haven’t installed any new plugins of late. I’ve dumped my prefs made sure qt was updated, still no luck. This only happens when I try to use a custom size on the export.

    any suggestions?

    thanks.

I’m with you on this one. The only difference between my system and a System I use that does not crash is the FX Factory plugin,

    Any insight from anyone?

I won’t install FX Factory on my computer. It’s created instability on my system.

Hmmm, That’s strange. I can’t directly attribute the custom sizing crash issue to that, it’s just the only difference that I’ve noticed between two systems. However, I have had no stability issues with my FCP system otherwise.

I don’t have that plug-in set installed so it’s not that. I was thinking that perhaps it was the media. It’s a 1:30 sequence so I exported each shot seperately. Exported just fine. It’s only when I export the entire sequence that it crashes. Right now I’m doing a work around where I export out of FCP current setting and then take it into QT to export a scaled h264 movie.
