Posted by Bob Cole on December 30, 2008 at 4:32 am

Has anybody had any problems with existing FCP 6 projects, after an upgrade of the OS from Tiger to Leopard?

I am considering an upgrade to Leopard in order to run FXFactory Pro 2, but am in the middle of several editing FCP projects and don’t want to jeopardize them.

    Thanks.

    Hi Bob,
Shouldn’t be any problem for the FC projects. However if you are in the middle of few projects you should consider wait to finish the projects before up-dating. And, off course, as my good friend David Roth always advise, clon your system before the up-grading.
What I don’t recommend you is to install the last Leoppard up-date (10.5.6) it seems is giving few problems.
FC 6.0.5 with QT 7.5.5 in MacOSX 10.5.5 is fine.
    Cheers,
    Rafael

Do the upgrade totally clean though…. i.e., erase and install leopard, then install your apps after updating it… don’t just push the upgrade button on a new OS install… ever.
