[Mike Domenick] “We migrated the old computer files to the new one”
What? Exactly what do you mean by migrated? If you mean that you tried to copy the FCS apps from a G5 to a MacPro that’s not a good idea.
[Mike Domenick] “we are installing it again (sans any uninstall). Will there be any conflicts or will the installation just override the old files (or skip them?)”
You used the term migrate, now it’s “installing.” Not many of us here are mindreaders Mike.
In any case, if I were you, I’d consider using FCP remover from https://www.digitalrebellion.com/fcs_remover.htm and installing FCS from scratch. Also, before doing so, do all of the OS updates using Apple Software Update first, and keep running it until you get a message telling you that all software is up to date. Then install FCS from the installation disks and afterward run the updater and again, keep running it until it alerts you that all software is up to date.
