audio balancing in final cut pro

i am documentary film editor, but few months back i joined endemol india as online editor, here i work only on realty type show, now mostly i get little time to edit but thats fun the pain part is audio balance coz i had to do it so manually that its boring time taking and not a thankful job at least in my studio, i m just wondering if there is any way of scripting or sort of macro or effect that i can select an audio track and just apply to it defining that no audio will be below -18db and above -12db. and it will be roughly done atleast cut the peak and dip,without ditoring or modifying audio quality

That’s a bit like asking if there is a script or macro to edit so that you can go home early and let the machine select shots and make them a certain length.
Audio balancing is just as much an art as editing so no, there isn’t an automatic thingy to mix audio. It is a creative manual task, just like editing.

i knew it i won’t be that lucky to go home early, but there must be some filter to cut the extra db. above 12. without disturbing the quality.
