    Hi ,
Does anyone have any tips on how to create sparks like those of a sparkler (you know ..bonfire night…burnt fingers) There has been some used recently on ‘Greece is the word’ for any U.K. viewers . I am trying trapcode particular with poor results and was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice as to other plug-ins that can ‘sparkle’..

    thanks

    c

Trapcode Particular is good, but it doesn’t have a lot of presets so making effects from scratch can be difficult.

I use wondertouch particleIllusion for most of my particle needs – especially anything like sparkles. There are a ton of presets (1900+).

Trapcode has a free download called “Pyro Pack” In it are a bunch of fire/explosion comps. If memory serves me correctly there’s a Sparkler comp. If not there’s a sparky explosion that you can tweak to make a sparkler. You’ll need the Particular plugin if you don’t already have it.
