CC Light Rays Question…
Posted by Mark Pybus on May 7, 2007 at 3:26 pmHi Guys,
I’ve applied the CC Light Rays effect to a logo and after doing a preview render, the logo jumps around from side to side. I haven’t applied any movement key frames whatsoever and I can’t figure out what is causing this “jiggling”.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks as always.

May 7, 2007 at 4:00 pmTry clearing your image cache, sometimes AE caches incorrectly rendered frames and doesn’t know that something is wrong. Edit > Purge > Image Cache.
If that doesn’t do it, turn off the light rays effect and try re-rendering. Or you could reset the Light Rays effect to its default settings and try again.

May 7, 2007 at 4:03 pmNot enough information and too many possibilities. Try turning off the effect. Render using a different codec. Precompose the layer and apply the CC filters to that. Any other filters do the same thing or is this more of a display issue?
There is nothing in CC Light Burst (or just about any other filter) that will, by itself, cause the layer to which it has been applied, to move around. So start looking for user issues.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

May 7, 2007 at 4:57 pmThanks guys, but nothing seems to be working. The strange part about it is that the mere act of applying the CC light rays effect to my logo actually causes it to shift to the left. The logo is a scaled down high resolution file…. STOP THE PRESSES -I just tried putting the logo in a new comp and nesting that comp and it works!
Strange…
Thanks again.
