  Starting a new project.

  I will post here as well because I am unsure of which forum is best for my question. Can someone let me in on the optimum basic settings for both sequence and capture when setting up and starting a new project on fcp, shot in “24p” and “squeeze” modes on a panasonic 100b. Also why am I getting the following error message when attempting to capture informing me that, in essence, my deck cannot be located through firewire; although my deck camera is on, and properly connected to the computer in VCR mode? Thank you for any help.

  Chris,

  If you shot 24p and not 24pa then you just set up a regular DV NTSC easy setup. If you want anamorphic then check that box. 24p is used in FCP at 29.97, it adds pulldown.
