Title 3D text color is the opposite!!
Anyone encounter this issue…I load up the Title 3D generator, type some text, and when I highlight the text and select green as it’s color, it shows up as the opposite color on the color wheel (purple). This happens no matter what color I select, except black and white show up as they should. I have encountered this before, but not for a while, and it has cropped up again. Anyone have a solution or a reason why this happens?

That is because you are in active selection mode. Just click once in any field, then an outline around your text block will appear. Now when you change colors, you’ll see the colors show up because it’s now in passive mode. It’s in the Title 3D manual and explained in my book.

I wish it was that simple, but unfortuantely, it is not. I’ve been using FCP for about 8 years now, and this color issue with Title 3D has only happened a few times, but when it does, I can think of no solution. When I highlight my text and change its color, and edit it into the timeline, it shows up as the opposite color. The regular text tool is not affected, just Title 3D. No rhyme or reason to it. Anyone experience this rare but frustrating quirk??
