  Another Print to Tape Problem

  Print Timeline or Print to Tape – No image/sound

  I’m trying to print to tape or just tape the timeline of an HDV project using the system below. Don’t seem to have a Firewire connection when doing so, though capture over Firewire works fine. After recording to tape it contains nothing and HDMI monitor remains blank/no audio throughout recording.

  Tried to remove FCP prefs. – no change. Can’t locate QT Receipts mentioned in Apple’s doc: Restoring a DV device connection in QuickTime 7. Have mixdowned the audio. Full render.

  Would very much appreciate suggestions. Thanks. Already past deadline!

  This is what works for me, hope it helps.

  Choose easy setup

  HD and select HDV

  Audio/Video Settings

  Summary Tab settings are as follows:

  Sequence Preset HDV-1080i60
  Capture Preset-HDV
  Device Control Preset-HDV FireWire Basic
  Video Playback- Digital Cinema Desktop Preview Main
  Audio Playback-Default

  Sequence Presets Tab settings are as follows:

  HDV=1080i60

  Capture Presets Tab settings are as follows:

  HDV

  Device Control Presets Tab settings are as follows:

  HDV FireWire Basic

  A/V Devices Tab settings are as follows:

  Under Video: Digital Cinema Desktop Preview Main
  Check Mark on: Mirror on Desktop
  Under Audio: Defualt

  Different Output for edit to Tape is-HDV (1440×1080) 60i
  Mirror on desktop is checked
  Audio is HDV
  Everything else is blank
