    Hi All!

I have a question regarding taking material from a DVD and importing it into FCP.
The project I am working on is through the University, and will be screened during a summer school, so it is all legal…:-)
I wanted to know what is the best way to do this; I understood that I need to rip the DVD, which program works with a macbook pro? and FCP 6.0.1?

    Thanks a lot!

I use DVDxDV.com…I use the PRO version, but the normal version does well too.

And there’s MPEG STREAMCLIP…google it. Free.

But I find DVDxDV more stable.

    Hi Shane,

Thanks for your quick response. I was checking both of the options, and I have a question- do they also work for video.ts and audio.ts files of a DVD?
    Thanks again,
    Sarah

Hello again, having issues again…:-) I am using the MPEF Stramclip on a DVD. It recognizes all the video_ts files, but for some reason when I tell to play all the files, or when I open the DVD in the ‘open dvd’ option it skips the first few min or so…after that it plays fine…but of course I need material from the first few minutes of the DVD…:-)
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks a lot!
    Sarah
