I’m trying to reconnect HD footage. I shot on the HVX, imported off P2 cards and have been getting the footage into Final Cut 6 via Log and Transfer. My drive got disconnected and the reconnect media function that works with DV footage won’t work. The Final Cut Manual is not so helpful. What’s the solution to this? -Ali

If you changed the clip names from the original media file names, things get dicey, is that what’s happened? Otherwise it should be working without a hitch.

I didn’t change any masters clips, I subclipped everything. I shutdown everything and restarted and the clips were reconnected. But for future reference, how do you reconnect because the audio and video are in separate folders and the video is .mxf files whereas the reconnect media function is looking for .mov files. -Ali
