If I’m not wrong the 50Gbs disks are not yet in the market.
As soon as I will buy me a EX1, I want to buy me the recorder of LaCie for archiving.
It looks great and LaCie is a brand that I really trust.

Yep, our FastMac is a DL burner, though we’re actually authoring Blu-ray titles and aren’t doing any archiving with our unit. Works perfectly with Toast 8 and it’s installed in our Mac Pro 3.0 Quad.

Wally, you are buring Blu-Ray titles? Toast will create them?

Just looked at the site, and they say nothing about playable blu-ray discs…?

    Author in Encore CS3

Build an ISO file in Encore

    Burn the ISO in Toast.

Encore crashes whenever we try to actually Build and Burn the disc. I think it’s an “added feature especially from Adobe” for all Mac users. They have not addressed the issue period.

    Walter,
Is Encore relatively easy to learn if your use DVDSP, or is it a pretty steep learning curve?

Looks like LaCie is your option for BluRay at the moment.

Hmmmmm….. That makes me think I may start to use that instead. Especially if it’ll allow me to create Blu-Ray DVDs. Thanks!
