Can FCP send TC to monitor?
Posted by Betsy Thompson on November 30, 2007 at 7:24 amIs there anyway to get my timeline timecode on my monitor?
It’s a Sony Trinitron monitor connected via BNC in an AJA card.
OS 10.4.10/FCP 6.0.1
Thanks!

November 30, 2007 at 7:29 amNot unless you either add the TC Reader filter to the footage, or export a self contained or ref QT movie and use AJA TV to display it. Or, if you route it thru a deck and then the deck to the monitor, and you happen to be outputting to tape at the time.
Or you can get an external TC reader…dunno what they are called, but I have seen them on some Avid systems I sat in front of. Knew that I had to set the router to it…

November 30, 2007 at 2:22 pmIf you have a Kona card with the latest drivers, you can display the sequence timecode on your monitor.
You simply set the TIMECODE tab to Quicktime in the control panel of the Kona Card
