  • Audio Float in Dvcpro50 (24p) capture…

Posted by Bryce Schoonmaker on August 24, 2007 at 9:23 am

Tried capturing the tapes as whole just using capture now, with the Dv50 capture presets.
with a AJ-Sd93 deck via fire wire.

Looks like anything after 8 minutes or more the audio starts floating….the end rate is something funky like 47.8563 or something. Did a couple test captures, to double check the sync, from 15-60 seconds in length and it held 48khz……

Not really sure what is the norm for dv50 24p work flows…..

    Any ideas?

I encountered that same issue a while back. The only solution or workaround I could find was to run the QT files through QT conversion to set the audio sample rate back to 48.00khz.
