  Export with Markers???

  I exported a timeline with markers at every cut point. Those markers show up in the QT player when the exported file is played back, but when that same QT file is loaded into FCP the markers are not useable. Is there a way to enable them in FCP?

  WHen you exported the markers, what kind did you choose?

  When exporting I chose “all types” — when I put them in initailly I just hit “M” and never did anythng else. Is that right?

  I had to export a single file froma timeline with many cuts for a client, and want them to be able to find the cut points my jumping to the next marker.

  I’m going back and making each marker a chapter marker to see if that helps… Its real pain though.

  Save your time, it doesn’t work.

  Start a new project, import the orig. clip. Drag the clip into the viewer, mark it up there, then send the FCP project with the one clip as media.

  Or if you don’t want to make a new project, mark up that one clip in the viewer and then media manage that one clip using the copy function.

  The problem is, they have an earlier version of FCP.

  What are the different versions?

  Fcs2 to their fcs1?
