  VRAM for Color?

  I tried to open Color on my PowerPC G5, and it told me that I didn’t have enough VRAM… How is VRAM different from regular RAM? Do you install it in the same slots that that you install regular RAM into? Any feedback would be helpful…

  VRAM is built onto the video card.

  No, it is built onto the video card.

  If you wish to run color on your machine you will need a new video card.

  Thanks for your reply… I don’t really know where I would start to look for one, or what criteria I would use to select one… Could you give me any advice on that?

  Video cards for color have been talked about quite a bit on here, even h=more so on the Color forum.

  Try doing a search.

  I have an nVIDIA (Ox10de) one… It came with my G5…

  OK, the NVidia is not really adapted to Color. Try to get a X800 (be sure it fits your model) if you can
