Telestream have confirmed that when encoding WMV files with uncompressed audio sources after installing QT 7.2, you will receive “Inconsistent Audio Sample Rate” error and the encode will fail. This affects Flip4Mac WMV Studio, Studio Pro, Studio Pro HD versions. They are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

After experiencing this problem we found a quick workaround. We’ve only done this one time but it did work.

Before trying to export a .wmv from your FCP timeline, go to Sequence Settings and change the audio from 48k to 44.1k.

Then you should be able to export a .wmv file without error.

No need to export an Mpeg4 and change a bunch of other things. Just change the audio setting of your current sequence and export.

    Good luck.

    Hi
Could the procedure that the Apple Tech Note outlines – reinstall the OS X Combo updater then force a prebinding update – be a troubleshooting technique for other inexplicable problems?
