    Hi!

I’m working with HDV for the first time. After a lot of research, I thought I had it figured out. But now, I’m trying to export a still image of a clip and it’s anamorphic! Does anyone know what I could do?

    My settings are the following:
The material is 16:9 and I’m capturing it native.
Sequence and Capture Device: HDV setup.
VTR Sony 1080i is set to squeeze but I also tryed edge crop and it made no difference.

    Can anyone help? Thanks.

I think you should be able to put the frame you want to export in a sequence which isn’t anamorphic such as uncompressed HD… then export it from there.
