Hi eveyone im in some desperate need of assistance concernign a transition i am making of some text using particle playground layer exploder effect.

My desired effect is to have the text blow away like sand using cannon particles as an air hose to blow the text away. this is all good and working but when the text is blown away it “re-grows” or re contitutes itself only a second after the cannon particles have blown away the initial particles of the source text.

In a nut shell the text blows away then the text that has blown away is made again with new particles creating an never ending sequence of me trying to blow the danm things away but the layer exploder source image (the text) is contanctly being re formed with new particles.

can anyone tell me how to make the layer exploder create only the one layer of the text particles and not re create the text particles once they have blown away.

by the by im using 7 pro to try and make this happen.

anyone who can help me out with any solution would be my hero.

cheers and thanks for your time

    This tutorial might be helpful:
    Blow Text Like Sand
Also try searching the forum for posts about this. It seems to be a fairly popular effect.

I would never approach Particle Playground for anything useful.
This effect can be done with Shatter. Shatter’s complicated but it has about 1/10th controls of PP.

    What was Adobe thinking?

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
