Here is an interesting question that just popped up: how do I accurately go from 24pa DV material to pal? My first thought was to pull in the footage, strip the advanced and land with a 23.98 dv project… take that and look at rendering options. There may be some pitfalls though, how is my audio and video going to play together… etc. If anybody has worked through this I would love to know before I dive into this hour+ feature. thanks,

    Jordan

ps— all it has to be is a SD pal quicktime when it’s done.

[jordanwwoods] “y first thought was to pull in the footage, strip the advanced and land with a 23.98 dv project.”

then output that file as a self contained movie and then do a conform to 25 in Cinema tools on that video file.

it will then be a 25p /50i file.

Exactly… do an output of the file after stripping the pulldown and conform to your desired rate in Cinema Tools.
