I’m operating a G5 with a Kona 2 card and FCP/HD v5.1.4. Normally, the signal flowths from the timeline, through my A500 using the 10bit SDI signal to my monitor.

Suddenly, late last week, it quit sending an output signal from the timeline. Instead all I get is a black screen with two vertical lines of white dots, one in the middle of the screen and one to the left of the screen.

I’ve reinstalled FCP HD twice to no effect.

I’ve used the Kona control panel to send a test signal through the system and that works. (On an aside – what should the Kona buffer be set at? and should the sync be set on “Input Pass Through”? What color should the sync indicator be?)

Is this a hardware or a software problem? Of course, now is when the deadlines are approching. Any ideas.

PS. I accedently also posted this message on the Studio Pro forum – so I apologize to those who may have seen this message twice. But, please, if you have any solutions – let me know!!

    Cheers,
    Creeker

    Hi Creeker,
Have you re-installed the Kona drivers? At least with the Blackmagic, when re-installing FC or AE they recommend to re-install the drivers after.
