Is there any noticeable quality difference in quality using Compressor vs using Quicktime conversion with this setup:

Codec: DV/DVCPRO NTSC, Compressor Quality: Best
Audio: Linear PCM, Stereo, 48,000 kHz, Render Quality: Best, Sample Size 16

the above is the recommended export setup at work, but I dont want to get shafted for turning in subpar projects. I’ve been having trouble with Compressor lately, and if its easier and more convenient to use Quicktime, I’d rather use that.

It sounds like you should just use: MenuBar -> File -> Export -> Quicktime Movie…

This uses the same settings as the sequence or clip your exporting so it’s faster and at best quality. It can be a little over sized though.

I’m not fully sure what the orignal sequence is so I don’t kow if your trying to switch to a different compression or not.
