  FCP5.0 and P2 File Import

  Hi,

  FCP 5.0 has an import option for Panasonic P2 files. When I select it a window comes up which shows all the clips I have on my P2 card but when I click on import it gives me a error message telling me the clips are probably corrupted.
  Anybody know why that is?

  You need at least FCP 5.0.4 and QT 7.1.3 in order to import P2 files. What exact version do you have?

  I’ve heard that P2 import pre- 5.1 has a few issues. I’ve never had problems but it’s always been with 5.1x.

  Turn of REMOVE DUPLICATE FRAMES and try again:

  How do I turn that preference off? I looked in all the preference panels but couldn’t find it.

  It seems that FCP 5.0 doesn’t have that preference panel… so I spoke too soon.

  Anybody know how I can update to 5.0.4? I can’t find it on the apple website.
