  • Help! Trying importing Photoshop layers into after effects.

Posted by Video Wizard on January 29, 2007 at 5:29 am

I am trying to take a 24 layer file from Photoshop and import them into After Effects to be used as a movie. When I do it shows each layer for one frame. I need it to show each layer for about 6 frames. Where and how do I change that?

Would greatly appreciate any help you can provide!

    Thank you!

Open the comp that was created when you imported the PhoSho file and press Cmd/Ctrl K. At the bottom is the length of the comp. Press 6, Enter.

Unless otherwise specified, still layers have an infinite duration. Import your PSD as a comp, set the out-point of all layers to 6 sec, then stagger them using the Sequence Layers keyframe assistant.
