…button bar from one of my favorite transition?

I want to take a trans that I use often and place it on the button bar. I can add it to my favorites but there isn’t a way to link it to the button bar. Help

you can’t link a key command to a transition. Other then the defaults that are set.

Is that the color red you want to use?

[Hdfilmmaker] “you can’t link a key command to a transition. Other then the defaults that are set.”

Instead of a button, you can create a default project with all the effects you need to use. I do this with Good Eats where I have a project full of favorite Motions, Filters and effects. All I have to do is drag the motion from the project to my timeline.

So then make that transition the default.

Actually I take this back. Select your transition in the effects tab that you want to assign a key command to. When you have it selected in the browser, select Effects > Make Favorite Effects. Now the transition favorites menu you should see that transition as a favorite. Now hit option-j and type in favorite in the search bubble. Scroll down till you see Video transition favorite #1. click that then assign it a key command.

You could also drag this favorite and make a button.
