  displacing a layer

  I can displace a layer based on a luminance map, using “Displacement Map” filter

  But this only allows me to displace X and Y.

  I want to displace scale based on the luminance mpa.

  Can AE do this?

  workaround?

  the scale “ramp up” needs to be smooth, so I must use a disp. map.

  Use your luminance matte as a track matte for an adjustment layer with the Transform effect on it. Use the scale on the Transform effect.

  I only “think” this will work.
