  Capturing HDV 720p

  I have HDV footage shot with a JVC GY-HD100U @720p

  I’m trying to capturing it using the Sony HVR-M25U.

  The footage plays in the deck just fine but when i try to capture it via firewire FCP can’t recognize the information on the tape.

  Is there an Easy Setup configuration i should be using specific to using the HVR deck?

  I’ve heard that the deck can’t capture @ 720p. is this true?

  Do i have to down convert from HDV to DV?

  HDV formats will not play on other decks. JVC will not work on a Sony, Canon will not work on JVC…etc. YOu are going to need to get the JVC deck or use the JVC camera.
