I need to know the quick way to run a clip in reverse in my timeline. I used to know but have forgotten and the user manual doesn’t help much. I do recall some quality issues with video running in reverse. Any help is appreciated!

Select the clip and hit apple-j and click the reverse button. The problem is that FCP does not (or used to not) reverse the field order if you are editing interlaced footage. Graeme Nattress had a plug-in that would reverse the field order for you. I have no idea if this feature has been updated in the most recent version of FCP.

    Look at G Reverse.

I did it using the reverse control in time remapping…is there another way to do it and keep the video quality? I had heard there was a filter available?
