  OT: Livetype: Italic Fonts in Text not in Livetype

  Specifically I’m trying to use Impact>Italic which shows up in Final Cut but not in Livetype.

  Any ideas why a font shows up in one app but not another? How can I unlock ‘hidden’ font options in Livetype?

  There is no impact italic. What you’re seeing in FCP is simply skewed. FCP and Boris will skew the type to create a fake italic if an actual italic font doesn’t exist. My guess is that LiveType is a little more discriminating (as should be FCP and Boris IMHO) and doesn’t create fake fonts.
