  FCP 2997 fps to 23.98 fps

  We have a client who, for some unknown reason, thought they should edit in 29.97 instead of 23.98, For HD online. is there a way in FCP to convert the sequence from the Offline station to the Online, other than using Cinema tools to convert the frame rate? XML perhaps?

  Sorry, only CT can convert the 29.97 EDL to 23.98. it is really easy…do you not have CT? Why are you against it?

  I’m not against it, i just would’ve l;iked a better conform process than using an EDL. isn’t that what we’re all hoping for? EDL’s are fine as long as you stick to cuts and dissolves, but once more effects are included, an XML, or AAF type file is much better.
