Try duplicating the layer a few times, scaling up or down sizes and blurring to taste.

Copy & Paste a rounded corner rectangle (aka bullnose mask) from Photoshop to AE as a mask, then use feathering on the mask shape.

Why don’t masks look good enough? I would think it would work very well, if you made a rectangular mask a little smaller than your banner and then just feathered the edges a little bit… no?

    Thanks,

    Two options.

Place the image in a comp, double click the mask tool. Twirl out the mask settings and set the Mask Expansion to negative.

    OR

Use Simple Choker in Effects > Matte.

    Hope it works!
